Vanessa Garrett is a system vice president, Compliance and Audit, and system privacy officer for Norton Healthcare. Vanessa joined Norton Healthcare as research legal counsel in 2013 and was promoted to senior research legal counsel in 2017. During the past five years, she has served as lead counsel on all matters pertaining to research. Prior to that, she held positions with KentuckyOne Health and the University of Louisville. She has also worked for the Department of Justice and in private practice in Washington D.C.  Vanessa earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California at Davis and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California and is a member of the California, District of Columbia and Kentucky Bars.
